I am running for a position on the Edmonton Public School Board because I believe that public education is the foundation of community development. School is where our children learn to communicate and collaborate with the people around them. I want to ensure that our school communities are inclusive of all students and that students are empowered and inspired to reach their full potential.
Every Edmonton family should have access to high-quality public education. I am committed to reducing cultural and socio-economic barriers faced by students and families, developing healthy and engaging school communities, and ensuring access to top level facilities. I believe that I can be the best advocate for our students and parents in Ward D.
The Edmonton Public School Board needs to build and maintain a positive and trusting relationship with Edmonton families and the staff at our schools. They must provide well researched and critical decision-making that balances the needs of all stakeholders. I believe that the board will be most effective when engagement with parents and teachers is a top priority.
I want to build a more inclusive, healthy, and empowering community in Edmonton and that starts with our schools. Elect me on October 16th and together we can work towards this goal.
